Western channels generally has less dead ends than Eastern so I ignore Eastern all together. I've been doing Western channels, both levels, then to Royal Crypts, then Cave of the Moon clan, both levels, and since I farm in adventure mode, if there is a bounty for clearing the Caverns of Frost, I'll throw that in as well before resetting. It's also hilarious to play, since you are a chicken, so that's a huge plus. With Angry Chicken I always had problems getting to very high difficulties, but it is probably one of the fastest speedrun builds in the game (you run around constantly with 100% bonus movement speed), it can clear elite packs very quickly, but I would think it takes more times to kill goblins with it. I also played grenade DH with UE and Danetta's set on T13, which is extremely fast and also kills elites and goblins reasonably quickly. I so far played a lot with Manald Heal Tal-Rasha/Sage sorceress on T11 and T12, which goes through the areas quickly and pretty much oneshots most elite enemies and goblins. You'll want a char that can clear the goblins reliably and you could also consider clearing any kind of elite minions to get some DB's and stuff. If you are just in for the wings any difficulty will do, but since you will spend very many hours without finding them, I would advise to pick a reasonably high difficulty (say T10+) and a build that can run through that difficulty quickly. Maybe somebody has a better route or a hidden sweet spot.
Since the removal of the “shared” rainbow portals over different games the grind got a lot harder.
I'm still farming the Cosmic Wings especially in the non-season times.
